Prayer Requests

We will be  clearing all but the last three weeks of concerns unless we have messages at the office to keep them. Updates are always welcome!

Last names have been removed for privacy purposes. There is a place on the bottom of the website worship page to make prayer requests.

  • Prayers for Syd, Nathan’s son, who has had pneumonia since February. After a CAT scan, doctors at Oakland Children’s Hospital did a biopsy of a mass in his lungs on Friday. The biopsy was successful and they are awaiting test results. Syd will be in the hospital through Tuesday.
  • Lynn G.’s brother Bob is dying from Covid-19. He’s at home on Hospice. His daughters also have the virus.
  • Nancy D., mother-in-law to Mike and Bonnie’s son Dan, died from her stroke.
  • Katherine’s son Jacob, who is on meds for auto-immune disease, is moving for a Doctoral program. The move will expose him to a lot of risk.
  • Diana’s boys in TX. Forrest is flying constantly. Sherry and Kelly are in Houston. A lot of exposure for a friend’s wedding.
  • Bob R.’s service was last week. Prayers for Joanne and their children.
  • Steve and Kathy W. are recovering from Covid-19 at home.
  • Lora R.’s son-in-law had a major stroke at 31.
  • Steve S. is home! Continued prayers for his long road to recovery.

  • Connie’s sister has mouth cancer treatment. Prayers for all her family as well.
  • Lynn’s G.s daughter had her last radiation treatment.
  • Please pray for UCP as we begin the long process of figuring out how we do “Church” in a recovering Covid-19 world.
  • Prayers for people who are suffering from systemic poverty, systemic racism, and other injustices.
  • Prayers for Hospital staff and Chaplain’s everywhere, as well as people who serve us and are still unemployed.
  • Pray that we would have compassion for one another. Let us see ourselves as one global human community.

Stewardship:

This is a hard time for everyone, but please support UCP if possible. Our food pantry remains open, Pastors David & Natalie are working hard and Marie is doing music and web work right now, Lisa continues to work and Nathan keeps the accounts up to date. The PayPal donation button below makes it easy to use a credit card. You can also mail or drop off checks to the office. (No cash please.) God is faithful and we are grateful! Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!
